How might we help families
transition to a plant-based diet?

Using Object Recognition, the child unlocks and discovers new vegetables.
The family has access to a wide range of kid-friendly plant-based recipes.

Iterations
One of the most important global challenges is climate change. Through primary and secondary research on sustainability and cultural relationships to food, this project seeks to help change the way families eat today, but also the way they will come together to eat tomorrow.

PROTOTYPING
and USER TESTING
After creating low-fidelity prototypes and conducting user testings, I was pleased to learn that the two children understood the overall concept, especially the object recognition feature.
Those user testings allowed me to improve Vega's gaming experience and interface, especially the character animation which had an issue. The action of the character when it is thirsty was not understandable enough. In response to this observation, I modified the animation of this reaction.

CHARACTER DESIGN
and ANIMATION
Built around families’ cooking journeys, Vega's character had to be inspirational to children. That is why I decided to conduct experiments with 2 families with children between the ages of 5 and 15. I asked them to draw a vegan creature. Their drawings inspired me the character, Vega.
