To determine what could be done, we studied the american medical system and industry.
I was in charge of interviewing potential users and medical professionals to identify their pain points. From those interviews, we have learnt that they are all concerned about privacy, and most of them do not understand their personal health record details, such as medical records, blood test results...
Experiments
and workshops
We conducted 9 experiments to understand people's priorities in using a digital medical health record. We also tested different data visualizations of personal health records (PHRs).
After doing the experiments, we developed Healviz to focus on showing users, their health data. Within the app, we define every medical term for users to understand what they are reading, and we also give them personalized insights.
